most of the building certifiers (from NZ due to leaky homes claim) all ran to Australia and let Councils foot the bills.
The background is between 1995 - 2004 in NZ, there was a period where Council used Certifiers to issue CCC and those are the buildings that faced issues and leaky home claims and Council won't want to accept responsibilities for those buildings.
The same group of people (together with Aussie's ) are now certifiers in Australia. haha.... what an irony.
Also, a few high rise buildings in AKL will have no warranty as the builders and developers have gone bust ( or they purposely chose to do so to avoid liabilities), another loose hole that these people used to take the money and run.
