Bought Xiaoli and I a kite of our own yesterday from Paul Barnes shop in Onehunga. After our experience with our friend the other week I enjoyed it far more than putting the motorised kontiki's out, of which we have 2 Seahorses.
So now have a Nighthawk which they recommended for Ninety Mile Beach conditions and when the winds are light a smaller Skyhook to fly under it. We will use our motorised winch as I was not thrilled at hand pulling the kite back each time last week.
So all a new learning curve. I just need somebody to tell the wind gods up there to send us some Easterly or Nor Easterly winds so I can go play with the new toy.
Tomorrow Xiaoli off fishing with our Maori friend why I head on tour. Poor me and poor dogs. I work. They get shut up inside while their mum goes play for the day.
