Loss of Broadband Service
Wednesday 12th December - 10:43am:
We understand how important your broadband service is and resolving service for all our customers is the top priority across Telecom. We apologise to our customers for the frustration this is causing.
Our broadband network is still experiencing problems this morning. Although Telecom has restored service to the majority of its customers last night, a significant number of customers have intermittent connectivity, and may find that their connection drops out. It is estimated that the number of customers affected at any one time is in the tens of thousands.
For most, sessions will self-restore after a period of time. Some customers may need to turn off and restart their modems to enable reconnection.
Telecom Help Desks are experiencing higher than usual call demand so please refer to this web page or www.twitter.com/telecomnz for updates.
