Arrest after 95-year-old stabbed in head

A 20-year-old man has been arrested after a 95-year-old man was stabbed in the head in his west Auckland home on Wednesday night.
Police were called to the scene in the suburb of Glendene about 9.30pm.
They found the 95-year-old seriously injured with a single stab wound to his head.
He was taken to Auckland Hospital, where he underwent immediate surgery.
Police arrested the 20-year-old not long after the incident.
He is charged with aggravated robbery and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and is expected to appear in Waitakere District Court on Thursday.
