About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Assistant Accountant with Mandarin language proficiency to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong AR experience and excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable (Primary Focus ~70%): Accurately allocate customer payments and reconcile accounts. Proactively liaise with clients (in English/Mandarin) regarding invoicing, payments, and discrepancies. Process sales invoices, credit notes, and BCTI/BCTC transactions. Generate aged debtor reports and support credit control activities.
General Accounting & Support: Assist with month-end closing, stocktakes, and AP tasks when required. Provide financial data support to cross-functional teams.
Requirements: * Mandarin fluency (written & spoken) is essential – for client communication and internal collaboration.
* Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance + 2+ years of AR or assistant accounting experience.
* Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and accounting software proficiency.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Have (Not Essential): Experience in FMCG/fresh produce industry. Knowledge of inventory systems (e.g., MYOB Exo).
