It’s time to have your say on Auckland Council’s
Long-term PlanKia ora Our consultation on the council’s Long-term Plan is now open and runs until Thursday 28 March 2024. Auckland Council’s proposed Long-term Plan 2024-2034 aims to strengthen Auckland’s resilience, both physically and financially, while tackling big budget challenges. And this year we’re doing things a bit differently. We’re looking to find the right balance – delivering the council’s central activities and services using what we have, and spending wisely where it’s needed most. There are some tough choices ahead, so it’s important we hear from you to make sure your views are considered before any final decisions are made. Our central proposal includes rates increases for the average value residential property of: - 7.5 % in year one
- 3.5 % in year two
- 8 % in year three
- no more than 3.5 % a year after that.
But there are alternatives. We could do more or do less than what’s in our central proposal and we are asking Aucklanders for your views on this. We encourage you to read our proposal to learn about the issues and choices available in our consultation document, before giving your feedback. Your feedback is important to us 大家觉得呢?我们能改变什么吗?
