JobDescription
As a Tiler/Paver at Tarora, you will work hands-onwith various tiling tasks. Reporting to the onsite Project Manager, yourexpertise will ensure the highest standards of safety and workmanship areachieved and maintained throughout the different project stages. You will workclosely with the onsite construction team to deliver top-quality tilingservices, meeting all regulatory and consent requirements.
Duties& responsibilities
• Work hands-on, for theinstallation, repair, and maintenance of tiled surfaces, including floors,walls, and other surfaces.
• Apply advanced tiling techniques to ensure top-qualityworkmanship.
• Prepare and manage tools, materials, and equipment requiredfor tiling projects.
• Read and interpret tiling blueprints, plans, andspecifications accurately, ensuring all work complies with these documents andassociated regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and identify solutions for complex tilingissues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work site,tools, and equipment.
• Follow company policies, regulations, and industry standardsrigorously.
• Diagnose issues, propose effective solutions, and executerepairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring safety during all tilingtasks, including measuring, cutting, and setting tiles.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (preferably in ateam-leader / foreman role).
• Extensive knowledge of tiling materials and methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in interpreting designs, plans, and instructions.
• Strong familiarity with building and safety industrystandards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in afast-paced environment.
• Physical fitness and reasonable strength, as lifting andworking at heights or in confined spaces may be required.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality.
