(Contractor Role) Junior Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator - QS Services NZ

We are looking to bring on a junior estimator to join our Team - a professional who takes pride in their work, has good technical and people skills, is detailed and customer focused.

** Experience is not essential.

Job Requirements/ Duties:

• Strong troubleshooting, prioritising and organising skills.
• Strong mathematical, IT and literacy skills.
• Estimate Quantities and pricing jobs.
• Liaising with clients and fellow employees where necessary.
• Prepare & Taking quotes from suppliers and tradies.
• Ensure the quotes are clear and concise, and completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  

Note: Full training will be provided with ongoing mentor support.

Criteria:

• New Zealand resident or valid NZ working visa. 合法签证
• Must have your own laptop / device, estimating tool license will be provided.
• Must have your own vehicle for transport or site visits purposes. 合法驾照
• Excellent verbal and written English skills. 流利的中英文口语和书写
• The ability to accurately read, interpret and cross-check architectural and construction drawings, schedules and customer requirements/ requests.
• Professional presentation, good phone and customer communication skills.
• Friendly and courteous personality with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to take direction when required and work well as a member of our small team.

This will be a permanent contract, and a great opportunity for someone who is self motivated and enjoys flexible working hours that vary accordingly to suit project delivery deadlines.

No previous QS experience is required as coaching will be provided from the beginning to allow you to hit the ground running, as long as you are willingly keen to learn.

Salary will be negotiated depending on work experience.
