a Taupo family that lost almost everything they owned in a fire, and thieves struck, taking what little they had left.
Rylee and Newton Hinton and their three children, aged 12, 9, and 6, lost their home, cars, and a boat in a blaze at their Broadlands property on last Sunday night that also left Newton with burns to his legs, feet and shoulders.
With the family away supporting Newton through surgery at Waikato Hospital, Rylee's sister Tracey Foden said someone had broken into a shed at the family's property, taking away what little they had left.
"We are shocked by this and appalled that someone would do this," said Foden, who urged anyone with information on the break-in to contact police. |
