你好,
我在上个月已签字同意新工作的合约,可是因为个人原因现在我不可以按照原定计划去新公司上班.
新的工作开始日期是1月5日,我可否在上班以前单方提出中止合约?
以下是合约其中的关于中止的内容,我是否需要负责由于我提出中止合约相关的责任?
13 Termination
13.1 This agreement may be terminated by either party upon the notice set out in the First Schedule being given in writing. Unless by mutual agreement, the notice period shall be no more and no less than specified in the First Schedule. The Employer, at its discretion, may make a payment in lieu of notice and not require the Employee to work out the notice period. Where the required notice is not given, a sum equal to the remuneration for that period may be paid or forfeited as the case may be.
13.2 The employment of the Employee may be summarily terminated without notice in the event of serious misconduct.
