Pauline Chiu and Kyung Lar, and the twists and turns of their ever simmering feud went back a ways. Parachuting into Hong Kong and living as exiled journalists ever since, both ladies were quickly driven by unyielding pressure into beating each other to the punch for top scoop in Asia. As fate would have it, the missing jetliner once again joined the two tigresses on a collision course with their epic rivalry being renewed and fought out in the most intensified media heat on an unparalleled scale never before witnessed.
Every bit as feisty as they are rowdy, Pauline and Lar are about to end their action on the level playing field with a high note only matched in decibel level by a parade of screeching tyres, skidding brakes, a revved up deuce and a thousand other inexplicable clamors wafting and weaving into one cacophony of pandemonium now that the British Intelligence firm has pinned down the final resting place of the jetliner based not on a shred of debris but a set of pings and data plugged in a mathematical equation considered ingenious in its historical application of the Doppler effect first discovered by someone smoking and puffing a joint of dope.
When CNN is about to ring down the curtain and symbolically bury all the passengers 3 miles deep into the snatches of the seabed, I was this morning told that Pauline Chiu is somehow related as she is on my mother's side. Gosh, yeah. in hindsight, we do sound alike........... |
