If you only worked for 8 month, you are only entitled to 3-month leave. You have to be there for over 12 months before taking one year parental leave.
14 weeks PPL normally starts in 30 odd weeks. It is too early now, unless you have medical reason and doctor’s certificate to prove the need of stopping work now.
However, these are all legal stuff. If you have good relationship with your manager, you should be able to ask for his/her discretionary decision in writing! |
