Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated AccountsAssistant to support our accounting department. The ideal candidate will assistwith day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate financial records, andcontribute to the smooth functioning of our financial processes. Key Responsibilities: · Processing invoices: Enter, review andpay invoices in a timely manner. · Bank Reconciling: Reconcile bank transactionsand internal accounts.
- Producing financial records: Help businesses track cash flow and financial health
- Maintaining records: Assist with data entry and ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Following up on outstanding payments: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments
- Maintaining vendor relationships: Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding account statuses and maintain strong relationships with them.
- Analyzing data: Analyze data to make recommendations, such as reducing bottlenecks or realizing discounts for early payment
- Responding to financial queries: Respond to financial queries and assist in the preparation of tax documents and filings.
- Administrative support: Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in an accounting support role is preferred.
- Proficient in accounting software Xero and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
