About the role

Wimpex is the largest contract packaging firm in the South Island of New Zealand. Our marketing team is growing. With an ever increasing focus on digital communications and channels we have two fix-term Digital Marketing Intern positions available (present to end of December, approx. 20hrs per week). This position will play an important role in delivering the digital marketing strategy for the business with a particular focus on customer experience and building the sales funnel with a potential for full-time employment.

Responsibilities:

• Promote content on social media, plan and manage our social media platforms.
• Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics
• Identify the latest trends and technologies affecting our industry.
• Oversee and manage all contests, giveaways, and other digital projects
• Good writing skills and ability to shape marketing messages with limited guidance
• Working knowledge of various software, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, After Effects or Premiere)
• Creativity: the ability to think outside the box
• Self-starter with high “get-it-done” quotient, strong work ethic
  

Personal Skills

• Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
• With marketing background or recently graduated or University Student in Marketing (business-related majors)
• Passionate and enthusiastic team player
• Fast learner who can achieve "power-user" status on multiple social media and technology quickly
• Strong business acumen, quantitative analytical and personal communication skills
