yeah, life is tough in Auckland generally, especially for poorer people.
Many homeless people rest /sleep in the library during day time.

I saw one high school student covered her nose while reading because of some homeless people in the Library who have not clean themselves up for years, then another student told her not to be rude. I was impressed by their mannerisms (they happened to be from a private school).  To be honest, when I passed by the area it really stunk.


I talked to one homeless guy, he is educated with a university degree, well-read and knowledgeable, but lost his job in late 50s and can't get into employment again and with depression lead him into homelessness.

This is a sad NZ society.

这个太夸张了，估计不止是失去了工作这么简单，应该是之前的工作有一定的地位，突然50岁被解雇了患忧郁症了，让自己失去了尝试新工作的信心，没有勇气找了，其实过不去自己那个坎，过去了没什么了了不起的，洗碗清洁什么都可以做，当然这个对还在生存阶段的人比较容易接受，我国内知道一个当官的伯父，因为要让位给年轻人，55岁逼迫内退，结果抑郁成疾，不到62就挂了。不开心，人就会疯，甚至会死，精神失常点，流浪又算什么呢？

This is just a surface story in a brush.
Underneath the story involving broken marriage, debt etc.

自身感受，平时去的westfield 外面那条商业街店铺今年这个时候都倒了一半，满街都是lease，内心暗爽年初时候没下海。。。
商场里的衣服基本都在封口特价H&M也是7块8块了。促销力度如此之大下我看到了他们在苦苦挣扎，为了付那些不断上涨的人工和店租，吓得我赶紧多买了2把西蓝花
电视里新闻永远是劳工党又给底层人民派礼包了，改善人民生活了……喂，我看国库钱基本是花完了是不是应该下台了。哪怕虚假的摇滚经济，房产经济也比现在这种情况给人来的信心强多了
