the owner try to build a house in the rear of the land in 2006, however it didnt finish the foudation still on the land
But anyone know what does this mean? its from council
"there is an element of Expansive clay in the soil.placing of the hardfill,now,as shown in the photos above with the winter expansion of the soil, will leave an ultimate ( over time ten of year) air gap between the underside of the reinforced concrete floor and the top of hte hardfill. As an example, an expansive clay settlement of 1mm per year, will over 12 year, leave an air gap of 12mm.
The solution is top place the hardfill when there is cracking showing on the clay base.
The hardfill itself must be not place in tainy weather, as the high moisture content > 10% . will not premit optimum density with compaction. there will be settlement of the hardfill compounding and cumulating on the first settlement above. ??
