Asphalt roof shingles are by far the most common roofing material in the United States, and for good reason. It won’t deteriorate from the sun’s rays, won’t corrode, is fire proof, withstands gale force winds, and can take on large amounts of snow without risk of caving in.

And while most people don’t consider metal to be a green material, it is in truth one of the most environmentally friendly roofing materials on the market. The long life of a metal roof means it creates minimal waste, and when metal roofs are ready to be replaced they are highly recyclable. Metal roofing also reflects heat better than other roof products, helping to save energy and lower your energy costs.

不是不是...真的是沥青...柏油路面的沥青..液体的那种..黒黒的
Shingle的价钱太贵了....其实很少人用的

不会啊，比concrete tile差不多，有时还更便宜！shingle roof比较轻，你钢梁和地基承重这块也可以省一大比

它这里说的 metal roof，应该是指那种看着像瓦的铁皮瓦，真心不便宜。

大片的那种，一般称为 long-run。
