Obviously Trade-Me is sick of you and your crap about a stupid bloody Maori plate like the rest of us are and you should just give up but that will not happen as you seem to thrive on all the publicity. GET A LIFE.shrim (81 ) 9:05 pm, Tue 2 Oct
I must state publicly that I don't believe Trademe are treating this auction any differently than any our auction. It would be very unwise for them to do that. Check out the other plate auctions, there are many plates that have been on sale for a lot longer than this and for more than this. As for your comment regarding a life. I have one thank you but I am trying to sell a license plate with the word MAORI written on it. I request you treat me and this plate as you would any similar auction. 10:08 pm, Tue 2 Oct
im sure it would be stolen as soon as it was put on a car,the car would probly go too, they woundnt insure it,so its not even worth $1 lol goldngoal (177 ) 10:16 am, Wed 3 Oct
I would love to give you a clever answer but frankly, your "question" doesn't deserve an answer. But there are many different realities in this world, perhaps you just need to expand your perceptions. 4:16 pm, Wed 3 Oct
hahahahahahahahaha, what an idiot, hahahahahaha, i was right, you thrive on publicity, if you made it 10 dollars, someone would buy it for their rubbish bin, and youd loose your means of getting publicity, hahahahaha toyopet3 (708 ) 4:01 pm, Wed 3 Oct

can i just have it for free. awariki_c (278 ) 5:35 pm, Wed 3 Oct
Yeah right. 10:11 pm, Wed 3 Oct
I'll put it on my car if you give me 49k. Then the beating I got from black power for having a racist car might actually be worth it. bradrobin (170 ) 5:49 pm, Wed 3 Oct
Don't U realise the most aggressive people in the whole debate have been non Maori. Probably white. When this first went up for auction I was afraid for my family from, what I perceived as white extremists. I pulled all my other auctions because I was afraid an idiot would target me & my family. The first time I listed this was a few weeks after a white extremists nutter went crazy in Norway killing people. Don't you understand the major problem with this auction is white racist bigots not Maori 10:26 pm, Wed 3 Oct
why on earth dont you make the start price the smallest you can while maintaining your reserve ???? you may actually generate some bidding like what you are supposed to get in a proper auction , you continually have this "auction" set up as one click and its all over. This may help arrive at a price that somebody is actually prepared to pay for this item and save you from this endless repetition of abuse and smart ass comments that you really dont deserve but continue to create. jeff8827 (289 ) 6:47 pm, Wed 3 Oct
I have done something like that in the past. I have had the start price at a lower point than the research but it only promotes fake bidding. The reserve price now is lower than i have had many bids. So the price is at a point were many peoples money and mouths should be in the same place but aren't. People like to play games with this auction. I want to make it clear what the price is and I don't really want to play games but I do want to sell this so things may change. But I bid is not a sale 6:59 pm, Wed 3 Oct
lol 50k? Your dreaming. It's a piece of metal. How can u justify that price when its face value is probably less than $1? I'm so sick of greedy Maoris. Always looking for a way to rip somebody off. If you think its so special why don't you just put it on your car and be proud of it. I'll give you an offer you can't refuse... $10. That's 10x its actual worth. biker911 (60 ) 7:25 pm, Wed 3 Oct
Perhaps you should stop blaming Maori for your problems. Here is the justification for the price. http://www.maoriplate.com/MAOR

I like many of us on here have seen this plate advertised on here for way toooooooo long. Do you honestly think your targeting the right people by putting it on trade me?? People come on here to buy fridges and swap playstations for bmx bikes, not buy personalised plates that cost as much as a deposit on a house!! Id like to say good luck with the sale, but the luck of the maori wont be with you on this one. You could possibaly pretend it says "I ROAM" backwards?? Then you may get some interest. kiwichik8 (57 ) 9:07 pm, Wed 3 Oct
Here's 7 auctions for personalised plates that were around before I first listed this plate. Most have been for sale longer & more frequently & cost more than this. 519275269 519275739 518579564 517854003 517855328 517855334 517856256. Have you made a similar comments in those auctions? Trademe is the most visited website in NZ. Perhaps that is an indication of why it is listed here. Your argument about fridge isn't reality. Although TM need to do some advertising to change peoples perceptions 9:56 pm, Wed 3 Oct
Hi Bruce, have to admit initially I was one of the cynics questioning this auction but over time your dedication & polite, intelligent and witty reply's have won me over. Good luck to you on this auction, and to all of the negative doubters out there, get over yourselves and find another way to display your ignorance.findles (179 ) 10:14 pm, Wed 3 Oct
Thank you for your comment but I have less wit these days. I realise people aren't going to listen in some cases. But I have never stopped thinking this has value. Perhaps I have found other avenues to express myself of late. :) www.brucehaliday.com 10:46 pm, Wed 3 Oct
Hi bruce, ignore all those arrogant idiots asking dumb question on here. I must say, great auction which has attracted a lot of people so far. I am sure this will go for the price you are after. Someone out there will buy it. Patience is the key. Best of luck. Cheers, Tyler. autmentor (112 ) 11:02 pm, Wed 3 Oct
Hi. Thanks for the comments. Patience is the key but there are always contributing factors that enter into these things. I believe this is better than a fair price and perhaps I need to sell this and move on. Sell it to someone with new energy and a new vision for it. I have new things I want to move on to as well. http://www.maoriplate.com/MAOR

You are not right. According to every dictionary i have checked, Maoris is a correct plural in the English langauge, and until around 1980 was the standard plural. You are speaking of the Maori language when you say there is no S. goodgod (36 ) 7:47 am, Thu 4 Oct
We can agree to differ on that. Things may have been different in the past but it is current usage that Maori is the singular and the plural form of the word. Plurality is usually marked only by the definite article (singular te, plural nga). Some nouns lengthen a vowel in the plural, such as wahine (woman); wahine (women). But I am no expert. Happy to have input from one. 9:57 am, Thu 4 Oct
i will make a better offer than the $10.00 you have been offered i will give you $11.00 today you will be silly not to take it fordescort4me (81 ) 10:24 am, Thu 4 Oct
I would be silly then. 11:03 am, Thu 4 Oct
ka pai e hoa for putting this auction up. There seem to be many negative comments coming from people below that are unnecessary, and just show how ignorant some people are. supermaorifulla (8 ) 10:44 am, Thu 4 Oct
Kia ora. There are a range of people that ask negative questions. Some are just trying to be smart, some have considerable baggage. It has been an interesting insight at times. A question was asked once, that had as a part of it "It has become an interesting symbol of a time and place in our history." I tend to think that is an accurate summing up of this auction at times. It has been a window in to our society we often don't get a chance to see. The anonymity of the internet can be revealing 11:02 am, Thu 4 Oct
its any wonder we get sick of political bulldust... reading through the first part of questions ... some people not only need to get a life, but spend time talking with a blinkin pysocologist or summit sheesh Good luck wioth the plate mate. Oh eh I just had my mobile pinched do you think you could buy me a new one.. looks like you could... Still, thatd be human. intawc (24 ) 3:12 pm, Thu 4 Oct
There are some people that find the anonymity of the internet a chance to voice their bias, some just voice their ignorance. As I have said it is a window into our society at times. But the reality is that people often make comments if they have something negative to say. Positive people are statistically less likely to comment. But I do appreciate it when people are positive. Anyway. Thanks. I don't understand the comment about the phone. But I have none at the moment. 4:06 pm, Thu 4 Oct
