Those videos are for professional who are working in IT , the instructor are from industry and often been working for 10+ years. All of them are Microsoft MVPs. They are not lecturers.You will not learn much by just watching the videos.

The way I learn it is that:
1.Watch the video the first time and understand what are the new technologies and why it has been designed like this and when you should apply them.
2. The second time concentrate on the code stuff if you are learning dev stuff. Do not use the code sample they give to you , write you own.Writing your own code is the most important learning step in learning programming.You will be likely to face lots of things that works well in videos but not in your environment ,it could be framework version ,your environment set-up.But you intend to learn lots of more by writing code by yourself.
3.The third time just review what you learnt and see whether you can write a blog about this topic or present to someone else.
