A unique opportunity is now available at the Christchurch office of one of New Zealand's most recognisable brands. This company has a global reputation for designing and manufacturing household and commercial solutions and is an employer of choice.

This temporary assignment is covering maternity leave with a view to start early to mid April. This pivotal role will be the go between China and New Zealand and you will be the main contact point for all product related questions about the productsthat are manufactured from the company in China.

You will have the responsibility of following up on all timeframes of delivery and updating a main spreadsheet with this information. You will be dealing with all spare part related questions and be responsible for all project administration relating to this off shore supplier. You will be issuing Purchase Orders requisitions and be constantly following up on spare part problems to ensure delivery timeframes are met and to ensure the right parts are ordered.

You will be able to communicate fluently in both English and Mandarin and have proven ability tobuild relationships and the ability todeal with honesty and integrity with people from different cultural backgrounds.

You will be outgoing, but not be over-bearing, and have the confidence to ask questions to ensure the job is done efficiently and thoroughly. You will demonstrate a sense of urgency, but at the same time have a very personable personality so you will be able to get people to get on side with you. You will have good business acumen, with a degree in Communication, or similar.

You will be very detailed orientated and you don’t mind going the extra mile to ensure the job is done to met deadlines. You will have experience in Outlook and Microsoft Suite and experience with JDE would be advantageous, but not essential.

Full training will be provided for this role, so if you have an outgoing, yet personable attitude and are fluent in Mandarin and English and immediately available in Christchurch.
