Recruitment Bonus

I introduced an Indian guy to my company and ask for recruitment bonus but I was denied!

Manager replied:




The recruitment bonus is only paid atcertain times of the year when the market is looking tight – we haven’t had onethis year to my knowledge.


From memory he was working for XXX, andwe put you in there, so it’s not really the kind of situation where a bonus ispayable.


What Manager said makes sense?  Or he is ripping me off??  Feel like  be-treated by boss.

sounds like they think they have no problem recruiting in this kind of economic environment so no point paying a bonus. You can still argue but unless your company has a clear policy of recruitment bonus. Otherwise it is manager's discretionery decision. Specially when he is your direct boss, you better do what he says...

I guess next time you should ask is this vacancy eligible for bonus before you introduce your mate.
