SMS+TXT2000 ON IPAD 3G

ok so, im going to teach how you can enable your sms service and to get vodafone txt2000 add on for an ipad 3g, i have been using it, and its going pretty well, anways, you will need the following:

1: A jailbroken iPad 3G (only 3g+wifi model)
-as yous may have aware Limera1n has just released a jailbreak for the lastest version of the iOS devices (4.X and 3.2.2ipad) if yous wish to know more about this pls leave a comment and i'll make a post up for all the jail breaks and apps.

2: New or exsisting Vodafone Sim / Micro sim card (Not the one that came with the ipad)

3: you would need to download an app from Cydia named "swirlysms for ipad3g", you would be able to find that under bigboss's source, and its $5 or something, but definity a must buy, well worth the price, however im sure you'll be able to find it free with other hacked sources.... anyway, $5 for sms only $13 for sms/mms/ and swirlynet.

4: vodafone recharge card

once you got all of these, then follow the following steps.

1: purchase the app swirlysms for ipad 3g and install it through Cydia, this app has the ability to hack enable the 3G sms service on ur ipad, and allow the use of the number for replies.
2: Now, you will have to get the sim card ready, there are serval method which you can do, here are some suggestions,

a: if you have a iphone4, then you can go to the vodafone store and purchase another mirco Sim, activited on your iphone4, and purchase the txt2000 add on with it, then relocate the mirco sim on to your ipad 3g.

b: if you have an exsisting vodafone sim card, first, you would recharge the sim card through a mobile phone, purchase txt200 add on, then go to a vodafone store and get the sim card "CUT" to a mirco sim, then reallocate to the ipad.
(this is what i did,,, cause i dont have a iphone4... anyways, i m sure the vodafone store at Lynn Mall can do the cut.)

so, next time when you need to top up again you can need to just use swirlysms and punch in recharge number to 887.

The advantage of this: Personally, i use my ipad alot, class, work, home, and i most of the time, i dont want to carry another extra device, and as yous may aware, calling cost is just insane over here so txting seems to be the way to go. so, i'll be able to work on my ipad, and not missing any txt msg + be able to copy and paste things through safari and txt it to a mate!
