I have read LZ and othe flowing comments. I did not sit NATTI but have done some Liaison Interpreting Course in NZ. I have done some interpreting and translating in China. I have also done interpreting for NZ Police, For Ministry of Justice and Immigration of NZ. There are still works you can do in NZ, but you need to build up the network yourself. Interpreting work are random only if you work in the Translation Company. There are somne in nz. Translators and Interpreters should have great inter-person communication skills not just the language skills. Otherwise you can't really find works. You should find it yourself when you have your first then more will come. Keep working on it. It is whirthy of your efforts. Most time interpreting and translating are value-added skills. Full-time and professional ones are few.
And you should have at least NATTI Level three to be treated as professional. |
