再给大家介绍一个特别的i-VTEC吧~ 这套系统全称为 SOHC i-VTEC!(一般的i-VTEC为DOHC)
代号为J30a的SOHC i-VTEC引擎其实原理与目前泛用 i-VTEC的K20、K24i-VTEC引擎是完全不同的,到底有什么不一样呢?
K20(K24)i-VTEC采用的是DOHC VTEC+VTC的作动式,其被称为“i“智慧的控制在于VTC系统能够不间断连续地控制凸轮轴的正时差调节汽门开启的正时,再透过VTEC系统切换摇臂油压改变凸轮的相位角,造成高低转速汽门扬程的改变,以达到精确控制汽门正时与扬程的作用。
J30 i-VTEC系统与K20(K24)的系统则是几乎完全不同,这具引擎的智慧是在于可变汽缸控制系统(VCS),透过VTEC摇臂的控制能够让引擎排气量在3.0与1.5之间切换,也就是说V6的后面三个汽缸是可以停止燃烧的,在停止燃烧的时刻VTEC系统会控制摇臂切换使凸轮空转(换句话说就是进排汽门都不会被推动),并停止供油使得引擎仅剩下三个汽缸在运转,这种状况会在高速定速或引擎低负荷时产生,不过这具引擎可是SOHC单凸的设计,因此无法装设目前K20(K24)采用的VTC系统,但如果未来能够计算出进汽门与排汽门最佳效率的公约数,以线性函数的方式设定新的VTC作动方式,说不定就会出现SOHC的VTC控制系统了!:

Delivering 202kW of power and 340Nm of torque the V6 engine intelligently adapts to suit your current driving situation, seamlessly deactivating engine cylinders when not required. The VCM system combines two characteristics that don't typically coexist in conventional engines: maximum performance and maximum fuel economy. VCM deactivates specific cylinders by using the i-VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift, Electronic Control) system to close the intake and exhaust valves while the Powertrain Control Module simultaneously cuts fuel to those cylinders. By monitoring throttle position, vehicle speed, engine revs, automatic transmission gear selection and other factors, the VCM system intuitively determines the correct cylinder activation scheme for the operating conditions.
Variable Cylinder Management in operation
During start-up, acceleration, when climbing hills or any time high power output is required, the engine operates on all six cylinders. During moderate speed cruising and at low engine loads, the system operates just one bank of three cylinders. For high speed cruising and moderate acceleration including mild hills, the engine operates on only four cylinders.

Racing-inspired shift paddles
Experience the collaboration of driver and technology with the steering wheel-mounted shift paddles. Inspired by Formula One racing, the shift paddles provide a more dynamic drive. Activated simply by pressing the paddles in D-mode, the engine will seamlessly transform and then automatically revert out of paddle mode as the sensors detect a cruise mode or change in driving style. In sport shift S-mode the paddles select manual mode and are operational until the gear lever is changed back to D-position. |
