红色圈圈部分就是接合后的虚位,力学的应用告诉我们,一个动能物体,如果有虚位出现就会毁坏,比如一张硬的A4纸,
你用手左右两边拉开,记住直拉不要乱扯.只是左和右拉开,发觉是很不容易拉坏的,但只要在中间切一个毫米小的缝.
这片A4纸,轻易被解体.STI引擎会因为这个虚位,而不能作太大马力的改装,通常350匹就差不多了,这是性能和寿命的综合考虑范围
红圈部分就是汽缸左右运作的磨搽点,由于BOXER引擎水平面对向的关系,有2个劣势
第一,左右对向的压力和动力向中间曲轴推去,曲轴要同时承受2面的压力,时间久了就会导致曲轴内螺丝松动.这不是EVO的曲轴上下
运动只有单面压力来的轻松.所以还是那句话,STI引擎要好好保养,定期就要去,不能偷懒和省钱!
第二,红圈部分,汽缸的底部和汽缸壁底部,在运动状态下,这两个地方是一直磨搽的,时间久远了,就像橡皮擦一样会磨短和变形.
在香港和欧美这些有钱的STI玩家们,6-8万公里左右就把引擎吊起来换缸体和给曲轴上紧螺丝还有换其他零件..日本STI被日本人玩到7-8万公里就被人卖到NZ了,所以你坚持要玩STI的话,就Rebuild 引擎为最佳保养方法.当然看你玩车玩到哪个马力境界了.路上起步吓吓人60公里就慢下来的话,就不用改换零件了.

The reason so many Evo with bigger horse number is because it only got one bank, so it's cheaper to do the turbo plumming,
But you got money like Stilyn in NZ, you can get 370kw at rubber (That's about 641 HP at fly wheel), he got a 1998 subaru V5 sti Wagon dynoed at RE Sinclair rolling road dyno.
Everybody knows because Misubishi rush to get the lastest tech in their car, they make the least reliable Japanese car, even Hyundai is more reliable.
Porsche use the box engine as well, they don't have problem with Reliability.
