We are aware of some Muranos with CVT's having given problems. If it's likely to be used for towing, we're also aware of slippage issues when reversing a boat or similar heavy weight.
If you're wanting an SUV for towing, it's perhaps best to look for something without a CVT.

The Nissan Murano is larger than the Outlander and has high levels of specification which make it a dearer vehicle to buy. We are aware of CVT (transmission) problems on the Murano and it might be better if you avoid this option. The Outlander is a great vehicle with a good reputation and also comes in a 7-seater version. Other vehicles to consider are the Nissan Qashqai and Hyundai Tuscon. You should take the 2.4L Outlander for a test drive, it shouldn't disappoint. |
