We manufacture and supply custom mechanical components to global companies and are the preferred supplier to companies such as Flex.  We are also passionate about supporting New Zealand manufacturing companies such as Aucom, ABB and Escea to name a few, assisting them to compete and grow on both a local and global stage.

Our state-of-the-art world class factory is in Dongguan China, with a new factory currently being established in Malaysia.

Based in our central Christchurch office, you will be working directly with our customers and China team.

As our Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Meeting with our customers in person, via on-line meeting, phone or corresponding by email to understand their full technical requirements.
• Communicating all technical requirements in Mandarin to our factory engineers.
• Filing all relevant information such as drawings after the project has been developed.
• Responsible for solving any technical problems during the sample process.
• Taking responsibility for samples, checking all documentation is correct.   If required, perform physical checks on the samples.
• Assisting our sales and operations team so that they may proceed in full production.
• Provide engineering support to Daking New Zealand staff members and customers
  

You must:

• Speak fluent Mandarin and English
• Have CAD experience with Solidworks.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical engineering experience with a variety of materials such as extrusion, CNC, sheet metal fabrication, die casting and plastic injection moulding.
• Be able to demonstrate professional experience as a mechanical engineer with example cases.
  

*** Experience with FEA and calculations would be an advantage.

This role requires you to be involved in multiple projects, so you should be a motivated team player who has good communication, provides accurate details, and is well organized.
