请教上班族做过IT contractor的

是不是3个月或是6个月的contractor工作就一般没有Paid sick leave和Annual Leave的? 如果是1 year fix term的合同的话是否可以像雇主或是中介申请要一些呢？

还有,一般contractor的合同在跟雇主签订前需要自己重点确认那些项呢,才能尽可能的保障自己的利益?

如果合同期没有满就想跳出合同,一般需不需要给违约金的？

it depends how you want to do with your contract. If you want to become self-employee (tax benefit), then you cannot get sick leave or annual leave as you employ yourself. In contrast, if you employed by a employer in a term contract, then you will be able to obtain the sick leave and annual leave, but some conditions may apply (for example, you may have to work for more 6 month to be eligible for sick leave or annual leave)

i have never worked as a contractor before, when i looked into it i was told i should also consider buying insurance to cover my potential liabilities etc (especially working for a larger organization).
