About the role

Wonderland Construction Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Westgate, Auckland. As a key member of our construction projects, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control, estimation, and procurement. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting construction projects, utilising your strong technical skills and attention to detail.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, tender documents and project monthly reports
• Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction process
• Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
• Providing regular cost reports and budget updates to project managers and clients
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
• Collaborating with the wider project team to deliver successful outcomes
  

What we're looking for

• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the residential construction industry
• Exceptional cost management and estimating skills, with a strong attention to detail
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software such as CostX and MS Office applications
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under tight deadlines
• Thorough knowledge of construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices
• 3-month trial period is required
