For $6.50, our large takeaway cup was full to the brim with a velvety, vibrant brew. It was both creamy and peppery, while the addition of salty bacon added a smoky taste. 只要6.5刀,就可以买到一大杯满到杯沿的丝绒般销魂的南瓜火腿汤,新鲜,丝滑而椒魅,烟熏的粗犷配搭火腿的咸香,定能让你舔净杯子!

A medium-rare steak stole the show from a whopping plate of crunchy fries and fresh coleslaw. The beef was melt-in-the-mouth soft, while the salad made us feel guilt-free.

Splitting open the golden, light pastry released an appetising smoky aroma. The smooth, meaty gravy kept the pork tender and the smoky flavour locked in. 熏肉西洋菜派,撕开金黄的酥皮,烟熏的滋味就弥漫开来,浓郁的肉汁令猪肉细嫩,烟熏卓著!
SEPTEMBERSEPTEMBER: Best chicken dish 九月:最好的鸡肉菜- 烟熏鸡肉沙律 Smoked chicken salad at The Carlton, 1 Papanui Rd 
A sliced smoked chicken breast arrived on top of a huge pile of fresh greens. Tiny cubes of diced pumpkin, slices of fresh pear and a sprinkling of sliced almonds packed out the dish. 烟熏鸡肉沙律,切片的烟熏鸡肉随意洒在大堆头的绿色蔬菜上,还散落着南瓜丁,香梨片和杏仁片,令味蕾的印象深刻!
OCTOBEROCTOBER: Best fast food 十月:最好的快餐– 花样拼盘
A mixed platter from Mosaic by Simo, 3/300 Lincoln Rd, Addington 
We sampled a bit of everything at this Middle Eastern banquet: dolmades, bronzed chicken wings and spicy falafel. All tasted fresh and flavours popped. A takeaway that is good for the body and soul. 花样拼盘,中东风味的各式小食的荟萃,大米羊肉菜叶包,烤鸡翅,辣沙律三文治等等,全部都很新鲜,滋味爆棚,让你精神肉体全满足!
NOVEMBERNOVEMBER: Best brunch 十一月:最好早午餐(brunch=breakfast+lunch) Grilled fish and Thai spiced lentils at Mrs Hucks, 12 Show Pl, Addington  While the portion was modest, the flavours were in perfect balance. A fork full of moist blue nose fish, with a spoonful of spiced lentils, carrot and basil pesto saw the plate cleared in no time. 泰式烤鱼配辣扁豆,虽然份量一般般,滋味却甚完美,一把叉起肥嫩多汁的蓝鼻鱼,外带一大勺辣扁豆,还有胡罗卜,罗勒沙司垫底,瞬间就被清盘了!
