About your AECT dividend
Getting an AECT dividend in the mail, or your bank account, each year is one of the best things about living in Auckland. If you’re the person whose name was on the power bill on 10 August 2011 and you live in the Trust District which is Auckland, Manukau and the northern parts of Papakura (the old AEPB area), you’re probably in line for an annual payout.
In 2011, each of our beneficiaries received $320 – that’s $100 million going straight into the Auckland economy.
Your AECT dividend is a direct result of the Trust’s 75.4% shareholding in Vector. When Vector pays a dividend, 75.4% of that goes to us, and almost all of it is passed on to you. It’s one more way that, with the AECT, the power’s in your hands. |
