Period of Stay
Permit of stay will be granted at the Immigration Checkpoint. Tourist visa is normally good for a stay up to 60 days (Note: 30 days for Nationals listed under "No. 12 Specified Passport Holders") The length of stay is subject to the discretion of the Thai Immigration upon entry into the Kingdom.
(12) Specified Passport Holders Nationals of the 27 countries listed below: are not eligible for issuance of any visa to Thailand unless they already hold a permit of stay for New Zealand (i.e., either residence, student or work permit); must supply three (3) copies of the visa application form and three (3) passport sized photos for a visa to travel to Thailand; must submit their visa application to the Royal Thai Embassy in Wellington. (The Honorary Consulate-General in Auckland is not authorised to issue visas to nationals of these countries) if holding either student or work permit for New Zealand, he/she must submit a letter of recommendation from their educational institution or employer with the application.
