大家好!!我是HEARING DOGS FOR DEAF PEOPLE的一名VOLUNTEER, 这个星期天-3/05/09 HEARING DOGS 有个慈善筹款活动,可以带上狗狗出席的。 。)

4 A0 Q- U; z8 N5 {4 k9 gOur organisation rescues unwanted dogs from animal shelters around the country – often from imminent euthanasia, and gives them a second chance at life. These cute, cuddly and friendly little companions are then given world class training in how to recognise many of the sounds that we take for granted to keep us safe – including smoke and fire alarms.

Hearing Dogs are life saving dogs, for deaf and hearing-impaired people, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 4 H3 B) ^ w0 Q- |- o; d) {# N
]& X4 a* I8 O5 R5 fNow imagine what happens when a smoke alarm goes off in the home of a deaf person with a specially trained Hearing Dog. “Nudge!” – a cold, wet nose wakes you – something has happened... Your faithful friend lies down as he’s been trained to do. It’s an emergency! Instantly you react - evacuating the house and call 111. Thanks to your Hearing Dog, you and your family are safe, preventing what may otherwise have been a tragedy.

Right now, there are up to 50,000 deaf and hearing-impaired people who urgently need a Hearing Dog. Our organisation does not receive any government funding, so we rely upon your support to secure the safety of deaf and hearing-impaired people throughout New Zealand.

Hearing Dogs not only help to keep Deaf and hearing impaired people safe, they also help to break down the barriers of social isolation. 4 u5 `" q5 B$ K/ }; [9 G2 C
