We are a fast-growing, privately-owned geotechnical specialist engineering consulting company in Auckland. We are highly specialized in geotechnical engineering, providing, geotechnical engineering services for land development and infrastructural projects. Our service scope involves geotechnical investigation, geotechnical detail design and hydrogeology consulting.
Due to recent fast growing market, we are now seeking one highly motivated Graduate/Junior Geotechnical Engineers/Geologists to join our team.
Minimum Requirements
- Geotechnical engineering qualification or equivalent
- Knowledge of New Zealand and internal design codes and practices
- Awareness of slope stability, including foundation and retaining wall design
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to relate effectively and professionally to people at all levels
- Self-motivated and disciplined, with a proven focus towards achieving set targets
- Passionate about project delivery and ownership
- Excellent report writing skills
- Excellent documentation and computer skills
The role includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
- Undertake geotechnical investigation including hand augering, machine drilling supervision, CPT supervision, groundwater monitoring.
- Installation of piezometer and groundwater testing equipment.
- Core logging based on “Field Description of soil and Rock”, NZGS, Dec 2005. Use of Core-GS soil logging software.
- Geotechnical inspections including fill test, CBR test, foundation and retaining walls
- Geotechnical Investigation report writing.
- High-quality verbal and written communication with clients
