Hello, If I am turning left in to a multi-lane road where there is left going traffic in two lanes, I certainly will turn left in to my nearest lane. My question is whether I have to give way to traffic in all lanes (i.e. the lane next to my nearest lane) instead of only giving way to my nearest lane? What does NZ law says about that? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,
The road code states that you must •give way to all vehicles that will cross your path from your right as you enter the roundabout. So according to your explanation you would not need to give way because the vehicle will not be in your lane at anytime. https://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/roadcode/about-driving/giving-way-at-roundabouts/
Ideally, you should stay in the same lane all the way through the intersection. Don't change lanes unless you can do so safely.
