Volunteer Advice&help for Your Organization'sl Sustainability Development

Hi Everyone,I am a fresh graduate from Sustainable Business study.I strongly believe that sustainability will be the core topics of business operations and development in the future.The same goes to even the whole world's development. My ultimate goal is to become a sustainability advisior. My interests lie in helping organizations become sustainable in terms of reducing costs, increasing brand awareness relating to becoming green and sustainable, enhancing stakeholders engagement, improving corporate performance regarding to environment protection and social responsibility. All aforementioned aspects are important for your organization's long-term sustaining.


So what is organizational sustainability you may ask? My personal understanding is that it is a status where companies pay equal attention to their pursuits of environment protection, society contribution and profits increase (Triple Bottom Line theory). Unfortunately, right now, most companies, especially small and medium-sized companies only pay attention to profits gaining. As a result, they are suffering from customer dissatisfaction, environment penalties, law suits, brand damages, decreasing of sales, shrinking markets etc..


It is well-known that New Zealand is a country that pays high attention on green and sustainability development. Also, the world is making efforts to transform from old business models to those that are more sustainable, that have more concerns on the balance between planet, people and profits. If your organization or business wants to stay ahead of competitors and have a long-term development in NZ market, maybe you should start thinking about establishing or adpoting some strategies towards this trend.


From the study, I have gained comprehensive fundamental and theoretical knowledge in the following areas:
1) Life Cycle Thinking and Quadruple Bottom Line Approach
2) Systems Thinking
3) Resource efficiency and resource planning
4) Current sustainability practices in businesses in New Zealand
5) Environmental, social and governance (ESG)
6) Capital budgeting techniques
7) Principles of capital structure
8) Business research methods

With distiction results from my study and being a member of New Zealand Sustainable Business Network & a founding member of NZIoS Student Research Committee, I have gained skills like:
1) Sustainable report writing
2) Improving business plans with sustainability concepts and principles
3) Building strategies and plans to facilitate operational behaviour change for sustainability initiatives
4) Integrating sustainability development into corporate internal systems
5) Engaging organization's stakeholders, making the relatioinships more transparent


At the moement, I am looking for opportunities that will allow me to apply what I have learnt to practical works, to convert theories into ground experience. With the help from my research committee team and guides & tools & information from NZ Sustainable Business Network, I am sure I can help your organization a bit on the way to sustainability. All these help and advices will be free, what I want to get is your reference letter and appreciatioin. At the end, I will get what I really need, WORKING EXPERIENCE in SUSTAINABILITY.
