1. About the role
Due to our expanding workload, we are looking to fill a permanent vacancy that will predominantly be based in our St Johnsoffice but you will also spend time on-site working at customers' offices conducting ICT jobs.

The Technical Support Specialist will be handling customer calls, solving technical problems and deploying new services.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Survey, plan, and execute project proposals, scope of work, new building installations, and site upgrade projects.

• Plan, design, configure, implement routers, switches and Wi-Fi devices from different vendors like Fortinet, Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, Huawei, TP-Link etc.

• Perform installations of networking equipment inside customer premises and in building communications risers.

• Troubleshooting network devices and design recommended solutions.

• Diagnose and solve wireless network performance issues.

• Monitor and optimize the performance of network nodes, routers, switches, APs, etc.

• Respond to customer requests and tickets in a timely and accurate manner.

• Cooperate with sales team on designing, upgrading and optimising customer networks.

• Support the achievement of the sales team and company goals.

2.  About you：

• Tertiary level IT Qualification in IP networking or equivalent knowledge and experience.

• Hands-on experience in IP networking and general IT solutions.

• Experience with Mikrotik and Ubiquiti & TP-Link networking and wireless equipment.

• A proven track record in effective management and troubleshooting of Wi-Fi and Ethernet networks and systems.

• Working knowledge of network engineering principles routing protocols, wireless and copper circuitry and layer 1, 2 and 3 network connectivity.

• Broad knowledge of networking principles and concepts including subnetting, VLANS, DHCP, ARP, DNS, NAT, TCP/IP stack and the OSI model.

• Understanding of basic VPN technologies.

• Demonstrated working knowledge in the design, planning, and implementation of building backbone network infrastructure.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Experienced in Cat 5, & 6 cabling.

• Ability to climb ladders and work at height.

• Use power and manual tools such as drivers, drills, crimping tools, socket wrench, etc.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Language: Fluent English and Chinese.
• Time management and sense of urgency.
• Fast learner and smooth talker.
• Passionate about exceptional customer satisfaction.

• High standard of documentation skills.

•  Must already reside inNew Zealand with a proper visa to work for any employer.

•  Clean driver license, clean criminal record.

•  Fully vaccinated against COVID, with proof.

•  Cisco Certifications would be advantageous.

•  Having Site Safety Card(height and harness safety) would be an advantage.
