Most IT workers nowadays in China earn Y300,000 ?

看具体做什么吧，现在一二线城市做PM或者ITBD工资一年30万很普遍。NZ的话看你怎么说，300k NZD一年的那是要CIO的干活，如果300K RMB的话，junior BA就这个价钱了...

not sure how many years IT experience you have on your back, if you are a software developer, and if your current pay in NZ is less than NZD$75k per annum, good news is, it's not hard at all for you to eventually get to 6 figures in NZ (there's currently a hugh demand for developers).

I looked at trademe using search c# and set nzd125,000 or more

There is only 9 jobs and most are contracts in auckland.

I watched it for about four years and it is always the same. I do not see any demand for senior software engineer. I guess if the employer has demand, the employer will offer higher salary.

也许有些有泡沫，很难说。

但背景是中国互联网行业的火热，互联网公司的崛起和 在中国庞大市场的发展。几个已成帝国的大公司比如BAT，或是拿到投资的小公司，都可能给出很高的薪水。在国内薪水高的dev，过来nz之后拿的，是有可能比国内低。

你说的第一个例子，三年前就开始接触Android开发，三年过去了当年的新手可能已经成长为小骨干，并且有几年工作经验的手机应用开发很吃香，所以可能拿得比较高。

另外一个在PwC里头做IT，咨询嘛，也许主要靠忽悠，不需要特别深厚的技术实力，而四大本身工资水平就比较高的。

i am not saying it's not hard, and btw it's not a field i am qualified to comment in (i work in more network/system side of thing).  With my limited understanding, there's currently a huge shortage for developers (and not enough supply), and hence in theory demand should drive up salary.

I am a lot older than most of you here and have about 18 years IT experience on my back, and i can tell you that, as long as you have got it (people and technical skill), you can make it no matter where you are (China or here). Focus on upskilling yourself in the most demand area, and also start establishing connections with colleague/people you deal with. It's up to you to justify you are worth whatever dollar you are aiming for.

Just FYI, i am now managing a 20 person team and current pay is the same as what most companies would pay a "head of" level.

i still don't think it's hard, i strongly recommend you to join the IT wechat group and hang around with people that have already made it and ask them how.

Other than believing it's doable i cna't offer you too much more (i.e. how) unfortunately since i am not qualify to talk bout it.

The Wechat group that we are on have about 250+ of us in it, and many are subject matter expect in our own field (that's doing reasonably OK too).

BTW, similar search criteria (C#, Auckland only, >$100k, full time) came back with 62 jobs.

I started work in 1994 and I have around 21 years programming experience. The only break I got is looking for job in nz for around 6 months.

Unless you are shareholder of the company, I doubt the level you have will be secure. Everything will disappear if got redundant. There are so many experts in the world. There is always someone better and have more skills in the world to get that job. To the level of manager, I doubt the technical skill will make much difference and it is the relationship matters. I have so many bosses in the 21 years programming experience and some have no idea about the programming and some have little knowledge about the field to do business. Just because they work there longer and some got opportunity to be promoted to be the boss.

I agree 100k can lead some permanent job position, but it is the top level for senior programmers. I am not interested in 100k as I am already at that level. I am interested in 150k to 200k or more permanent job position, but there is none in Auckland. I do find some job which I can apply and get that sorts of salary level, but they are in Australia. I live in Auckland and I cannot move the whole family to Australia as we live here for a long time.

I think it is very hard to earn more salary based on knowledge/skill/hard working. Based on past 16 years auckland experience, just trade some houses will do the trick. :-)

这个帖子很有价值。

3个在nz有多年工作经验的ICT行业的人，其中2个Dev，一个Support/Ops.
Support/Ops 比Dev的薪水高出不少，已经达到 "head of" level。

IT类的毕业生或是刚来NZ的一看这个帖子，就知道职业上该怎么选了

虽然中国技术人员薪水比NZ高，但我倒希望中国这个趋势能持续下去。其实是个进步，愿意给技术人员支付高薪水，这样搞技术的可以一直搞技术 不需要人人都往管理发展。

而 NZ，我希望它快点跟进
