这种情况属于flatting关系，根据Residential Tenancies Act 1986的Act excluded in certain cases 1 (n):
where the premises, not being a boarding house, continue to be used, during the tenancy, principally as a place of residence by the landlord or the owner of the premises or by any member of the landlord’s or owner’s family; 租赁关系不属于tenant和landlord的关系。根据flatting的法律，楼主只需要给2周的notice就可以，之前所签订的fixed term是无效的。
