For anyone who would like to get into a large orgnisation, know how to survive Psychometric Test is a must.Since English is not my first language ,I find very hard for the verbal reasoning questions(find the synonyms or Antonym).The math questions are very very easy so I do not list it here.The logic questions are very interestring. Maybe it is useful for someone.

Good luck,remember the hints I give u.You need to prepare a business case or story recently ,describe it.When you bring you academic records and form.Make sure you put in a nicely folder or some sort of case.Do not just staple them together,first impression counts.

I do not know the answers ,but these questions are really interesting.But I still find the verbal reasoning questions super hard.How can I do them without a dictionary.

reading. read lots of books, it really increases the size of ur vocab vault.

can anyone fail the psychometric tests? i hope the firms don't take these too seriously.

i have no doubt that people like LZ have abundant qualities that the big four's should value, it's a shame if they fail a person just becoz s/he fails the psy test.

bcoz of the language factor, it is obv not an accurate reflection of a person's ability.

even if a person has difficulty understanding certain english words, it doesnt mean s/he has inadequate communication skills in her/his field of specialty

我知道一些公司是用你的test结果来制定interview问题。一些公司是先要去考试,然后去interview。所以看来是很看重。

我觉得你不必把这个test和新西兰公司联系再一起,既然用这个test,就有他的科学的地方,是用来防止高分低能。

如果你语言不好,再工作的时候就不会把自己的能力发挥出来。这个我想再大学里的英语不是第一语言的老师最能代表了,我们可以觉得他们很想把书教好,不过因为语言的关系他们没有办法充分表达自己,他们讲的辛苦,我们听的更辛苦。而且比较枯燥,不象一些kiwi或者英语是第一语言的老师讲的生动幽默。

最后还是那句话,再nz尤其是学business的,想进大的公司,这个test一定要过,不然想进的话还是很难的。

这个世界是不公平的,所有的test都不能完全反应人的所有的能力,不过既然是竞争就要有一种东西去衡量人的能力。不然的话,你说你能力高,他说他能力高,没有办法评价啊!

看论坛上对你评价,我可不如你强。对于学IT 的人来说申请4大,相对容易。毕竟学IT的申请的人很少,在nz又是短缺。好多大的公司为了能吸引it的毕业生,会花很多努力。学IT  的人如果可以进microsoft ,Google 这样的公司才强啊。
不过学business的就不一样了,能进4大就很强了。

Test啊。。。还好吧。。现在很后悔过去两年大学大多数时间都混掉了。。其实可以做的好很多。

唉。。算了。。接下来的一年再努力吧。

Sorry,可能你添application的方式不对他们的口味。不过我感觉从申请过程来看可能他是比较号申请的一个,你的application过来,直接就叫你interview了。不过难的是assessment day的group assessment。去年我是什么都没听明白啊。partner interview一般都不难。

不过真正的竞争是在interview的时候。大概是10%的人可以去interview,出4-5%的offer。

但是今天听朋友说四大无论什么Position都只能申请一次。、、一次没成功以后就再也不要你了。。

这个一定是虚假广告。我去年申请的,没要我。我把去年的application form 那里直接copy paste上去,不一样会让我去interview。而且去年说不要我的时候,那个经理说一直说你是一个很接近的,明年一定申请啊。所以你放心了。

那些大公司每年花很多钱在graduate program。可以说召一个graduate比召一个有经验的还费钱。
召grad,每个学校有招聘会都要去。
上千分cv,要一份一份读。
要有7-10天的assessment day,test。
要在72小时之内出offer。
好多hr的人这个时候都要工作15-17个小时一天。
