You may be eligible for Carry Forward of Course Work (CFCW) if:
There was a final exam.
You have gained a minimum of 50% of the internal assessment and have been awarded a grade of R or a failing grade of D , E , or DNC.
You have met all compulsory course work requirements.
You have passed at least half the total number of papers for which you have enrolled at Massey University .
You have failed the paper only once.
The content of the paper will not be changing significantly .
Note: Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) and Bachelor of Technology (Hons) students are not eligible for CFCW consideration. Students in these programmes will automatically be considered for a Combined Results Pass at the end of each academic year. Further information is available from the BE and BTech programme administrators at the College of Sciences.
Permission may be granted to re-sit the examination in the next semester in which the paper is offered. You must sit the examination at the campus of your enrolment for your CFCW paper.
Applications are subject to approval by the relevant Pro Vice Chancellor.
A lecturer may recommend the success of an application, but without approval from the relevant College Academic Director's office, the Examinations team cannot finalise the outcome of your application.
The application fee is non-refundable.

Application deadlines
For Semester 1 and Double Semester papers
20 January - if the paper was initially in Semester One or Two of the previous year
20 March - if the paper was initially sat in Summer School of the previous year
For Semester 2 papers
20 June - if the paper was initially in any semester or Summer School of previous year
20 July - if the paper was initially sat in Semester One of the same year
For Summer School papers
1 November - if the paper was initially sat in Semester One of the same year or in any semester or Summer School of the previous year
20 December - if the paper was initially sat in Semester Two of the same year
Applications received after the dates above will not be processed. It may take up to 5 weeks to process your application.
If your CFCW is approved you will not be eligible to:
Receive further tuition
Receive extramural study material
Resubmit any assignment work
Access WebCT for this paper
Papers can have Course Work Carried Forward once only.
Carry Forward of Postgraduate RegistrationCarry Forward of Postgraduate Registration (CFPR) si applicable as follows: Postgraduate students undertaking research, other than PhD, seeking to carry forward their enrolments to a subsequent registration period under specific conditions.
Thesis / Project / Reports can be carried forward once only. part-time students may be eligible for CFPR on a second occasion if normal tuition fees have been paid after the previous period of CFPR.

Remark of examination scripts T
the Remark of Script process can only be requested for final written examinations.
Do not delay your enrolment while awaiting the result of a remark. If a change of grade from a fail to a pass is awarded, the remark fee will be refunded and you may need to amend your enrolment.
Do not apply if there was no final exam.
Applications must be received within four weeks of the notification of your official results of examinations; applications may only be made for the papers for which the results relate to.
Your remark outcome will normally be sent to you in approximately six weeks from receipt of application.
Fees: Please refer to the Fees page for details of fees. This fee will be refunded if a change of grade from a fail to a pass is awarded.
Remark regulations Remarks shall cover a careful remarking of the final exam script together with consideration of the work completed during the year. No information from candidates shall be placed before the examiners.
