New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has confirmed that his daughter, Olivia, and his son, Will, have Australian citizenship.
His daughter Olivia graduated from the University of Melbourne in December 2023 after studying there for four years. She has been working in Melbourne, Australia, as a social media manager at an ad agency. Reports from late 2025 indicate she was set to join L'Oréal in their graduate programme.
His son William graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing and international business from the University of Auckland in September 2025. He previously worked as a long-haul and short-haul flight attendant for Air New Zealand (2019–2024). He took a break to complete a degree in marketing and international business, with social media commentary indicating he has been working as a flight attendant in Sydney.
Quote: During a 2022 interview, Luxon stated, "I love Australia. If I couldn't be a Kiwi I'd be an Aussie. Absolutely. I just love the confidence and optimism of the joint". Luxon has frequently spoken about his family's connection to Australia, often referring to his children as "best migrants" during meetings with Australian counterparts.
