Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Structural Steel Site Foreman to lead the delivery of high-quality steel erection and installation work on long-term construction projects. This is a key leadership role involving hands-on supervision, safety oversight, and coordination of crews and subcontractors. You will work closely with project managers and clients to ensure precision, progress, and safety across all steel-related activities on-site.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor the steel site crews team on-site
• Oversee structural steel erection, installation, and alignment
• Interpret and work from detailed construction drawings and specifications
• Managing materials, and delivery schedules
• Monitor progress, report issues, and maintain quality control
• Resolve on-site issues quickly and professionally
• Communicate clearly with project managers, engineers, and clients
• Support a safe, inclusive, and motivated team culture

Skills & Experience Required
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in structural steel erection or related industry
• Proven site leadership and crew management experience
• Strong understanding of structural drawings and technical specifications
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations and site practices
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure
• Mandarin Speaking Mandatory, English Speaking (Preferably)
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (e.g. Site Safe, Welding tickets)
• Prior experience with steel-framed residential or commercial projects
• Familiarity with New Zealand Building Code and WorkSafe standards
