We are currently seeking for a skilled and passionate Import Sea Freight Operator. As a Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for arranging and directing the transportation and shipment of import sea consignments from origin to destination by compiling, completing and verifying required documents in accordance with company policy and procedure and external regulations. You will work with the Sea Freight team to ensure quality and accuracy of work delivered.
Main duties of this position will be the following:
1. Carry out import work flow processes in accordance with management directive, customer instructions and specified requirements.
2. Establish and maintain strong client relationships with customers, suppliers and service providers both locally and overseas.
3. Plan and prioritize Import shipments in order to achieve milestone requirements and deadlines.
4. Handle invoicing and calculate monetary issues such as costings, GST and inspection charges.
You need to have Freight forwarding industry knowledge and experience plus the ability to problem solve Import Sea issues with a range of stakeholders. Experience with Xero is preferred but not essential. We offer competitive remuneration based on experience.
