Position: Junior Site Manager (Residential Construction)
Location: West Auckland
Employment Type: Full Time
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Ensure residential construction projects remain on schedule, adhering to project specifications, timelines, and safety regulations.
• Site Management: Oversee all on-site operations, maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
• Coordination: Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries. Optimize resources (labor, materials, equipment) to improve efficiency and cost control.
• Health & Safety: Lead health and safety toolbox meetings, conduct site inspections, and perform risk assessments to ensure compliance.
• Problem Solving: Provide technical support to trades, addressing on-site challenges to keep projects on track.
• Construction Duties: Carry out construction tasks as required.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with our in-house Quantity Surveyor (QS) and project managers, responding to project-related inquiries.
• Quality Control: Conduct inspections to ensure work meets residential construction industry standards.
• Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with the project manager, providing regular updates and detailed reports.
Requirements:
• Relevant qualification in construction, particularly in residential building projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of residential construction processes and project coordination.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
• Experience in coordinating labor, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to monitor project progress and report to senior management.
• Full, clean driver’s license (ability to drive a van).
