About Us:
Cāntīng is a smart casual, upmarket modern Chinese, Asian restaurant and bar. Presented by Nic Watt, Cāntīng will seamlessly blend the richness of an Asian dining experience, with a harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation which immerses you in a culinary journey.

The kitchen will feature burning hearth’ duck oven, live seafood tanks to support your creation where every dish is a standalone hero.

We will be opening 7 days and night across the week servicing lunch, dinner and yum cha weekends.

And we are seeking a talented and experienced Chefs to lead our kitchen team.

Role Overview:
You will play a crucial role in crafting a menu that transports our guests through the diverse culinary landscapes of Asia, with each dish standing as a hero on its own. This is a hands-on role where you will lead the kitchen, create innovative and authentic menus, and ensure that our restaurant continues to be a must-visit dining destination in the city.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the head chef to execute flawless service.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Be ensure to responsibly using the highest quality ingredients.
Delivering private functions and catering events.

Requirements:

Proven experience from Chinese and Asian cuisine.
Experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
Eligible visa and currently residing in New Zealand.
Strong communicationnand organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
Fluent English.
