About Us
Tarora is developing a boutique resort on an idyllic 1,000-hectareprivate estate, located 30-minutes outside the closest township of Te Anau.

Plumber
Job Description
As a Plumber at Tarora, you will work in a small team of Plumbing , as well as work hands-on with various plumbing tasks. Reporting to the onsite Project Manager, your expertise will ensure the highest standards of safety and workmanship are achieved and maintained throughout the different project stages. You will work closely with the onsite construction team to deliver top-quality plumbing services, meeting all regulatory and consent requirements.
Duties& responsibilities
• Lead a team of Plumbing Assistants, and work hands-on, for the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Apply advanced plumbing techniques to ensure top-quality workmanship.
• Prepare and manage tools, materials, and equipment required for plumbing projects.
• Read and interpret plumbing blueprints, plans, and specifications accurately, ensuring all work complies with these documents and associated regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and identify solutions for complex plumbing issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work site, tools, and equipment.
• Follow company policies, regulations, and industry standards rigorously.
• Diagnose issues, propose effective solutions, and execute repairs.
• Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring safety during all plumbing tasks, including piping, drainage, and installation of plumbing fixtures.
• Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
Requirements
• You must have related work exprience in New Zealand.
• Mandarin & English language proficiency.
• Valid NZ Driver’s license.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (preferably in a team-leader / foreman role).
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing materials and methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in interpreting designs, plans, and instructions.
• Strong familiarity with building and safety industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical fitness and reasonable strength, as lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces may be required.
