BAS Junior/Intermediate Accountant

The opportunity: We are a well-established and growing CharteredAccounting Practice based in Takapuna, offering an exciting opportunity for an IntermediateAccountant to join our team. The role will provide you with the chance to expendyour expertise in taxation compliance, consultancy, and business developmentservices. This is an awesome chance to develop skills beyond numbers and gainexposure to a diverse range of work.

Core responsibilities in this role include:

·      Developing business developmentservices for new and existing clients.

·      Tax compliance and filing taxreturns.

·      Preparing Financial Statements.

·      Providing a broad range ofservices to clients including meeting compliance requirements, tax planning,cash flow management, budgeting.

·      Identifying technical issuesfor clients and working out solutions.

·      Managing workflow andcompleting jobs within budget.

A successful applicant should possess:

·      Minimum of 3 years workexperience in a professional services or corporate tax environment.

·      A professional qualification inaccounting.

·      Experience with XERO and/or MYOB.

·      A strong understanding of end toend tax processes & the NZ tax environment.

·      Excellent team player and proven organisationaland communication skills.

·      An energetic and proactiveattitude.

·      Results focused & clientoriented.
