JOB TITLE
· Electrician
PURPOSE
· The Correct and efficient installation and servicingof all HRV Products
SPECIFICDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Tasks
· General maintenance and repair works (light fittings,230v single phase power outlets, test, tag and repair of portable appliances).
· Disconnection and removal of existing power fittingsand replacement with new.
· Installation of new 230v circuit cabling and outletsfor data racks, technology equipment, broadcast equipment located in criticalservice rooms and computer suites.
· Install circuit cabling, fittings and connections forexternal service and security lighting.
· Electrical fault finding on various appliances andsystems, i.e. air conditioning units/highwall heat pump/cooling and heatingducted system.
· Testing of work undertaken as necessary.
· To carry out electrical work required of a qualifiedand licensed electrician.
· The correct and efficient installation and servicingof all HRV Products.
· Managing the HRV systems inventory and stock items.
· Completing all company documentation to companystandards.
· To present a professional image to the public at alltimes and to act in accordance with training and systems provided.
Qualifications:
· It is the substantial purpose of my employment is tocarry out electrical work required of a qualifies and license electrician. It is agreed that my continued employment isconditional on me having a valid and current electrical license enabling me tocertify and issue certificate of compliance. In the event I do not have the said electrical license. I hereby undertake to inform my Manager inthe event I am disqualified, or my license is revoked and/or suspended. I also undertake to inform my Manager if myelectrical license has lapsed, suspended, withdrawn, cancelled and/or I amunable to certify electrical works.
KeyFunctions:
Installation
· Following internal sales and installation processes sothat all areas of the installation process are documented and efficient.
· Liaising with the Office Administrator regarding allinstallation appointments, servicing, upgrades, filter changes, refurbished fanand rebooks and all corresponding paperwork.
· Picking up daily job sheets from the office andcollating the corresponding products plus the required items/equipment for eachinstallation.
· Completing all booked installations at the scheduletime. If running behind, contact thecustomer as per company requirements. Ifrescheduling required, contact the Office Administrator to co-ordinate thiswith the customer and make the necessary notes on the paperwork.
· Ensuring installations of every HRV system iscompleted in a professional, competent manner, leaving all customers satisfiedwith their HRV system.
· Co-ordinating with the Electrician regarding theissuing of the Certificate of Compliance for the Installation of the HRVsystem. Collect all the necessarypaperwork and return to the Office Administrator.
· Completing the pre and post installation checklists asper company policy, asking the customer to sign if required and/or if presentat the installation.
· Leaving the invoice with the customer and collectingany necessary payment. If payment is notprovided, do not install the Control Panel and advise the Office Administrator.
· Maintaining good relationship with each customer byensuring the work area is left clean and tidy after installation is complete.
· Ensuring that you are aware of and follow company andindustry Health and Safety procedures to ensure compliance with the Health andSafety in Employment Act and relevant regulations.
Installation Administration
· Completing all documentation in a tidy manner tocorrect company standards. Providing asmuch details as the situation may require.
· Returning all payments and paperwork to the OfficeAdministrator that day or the following morning, making them aware of anyaction we need to take.
· Co-coordinating with the Office Administratorregarding inventory management and control. Ensuring that inventory levels are sustainable to meet installationrequirements and records are accurate.
· Participating in the development and improvement ofour internal installation systems and processes.
· Keeping up to date with product development andinnovation within the industry.
Customer Service and Communication
· Communication – ensuring everyone is dealt with in aneffective, professional, and friendly manner, including customers, team membersand the HRV Support Centre.
· Presenting a proactive and professional image topublic. Representing and promoting thecompany at all times. Company brandedclothing must be worn at all times and kept in excellent condition.
· Ensuring high levels of customer service at all times.
General
· Complying with the company’s vehicle policy includingkeeping the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition at all times. Advising the Manager immediately of anydamage to the vehicle weather by yourself or others.
· Ensuring that all company property is accounted forand maintained correctly advised your Office Administrator and your Manager ofany breakages, losses of theft.
· Enjoying your work role.
· Supporting other Team Members and promoting a positiveteam environment.
· Attending training sessions as and when specified.
· Any other duties as directed from time to time by theOffice Administrator and your Manager.
· Perform a variety of Electrical, Auto Visual and DateWiring and associated activities which would be normally regarded as a corecompetency for a Licensed and Registered Electrician.
