A police officer allegedly caught on camera telling a handcuffed man to kill himself has been stood down while an internal investigation takes place.
Video of the incident was reportedly uploaded to Snapchat by a police officer, the New Zealand Herald reported. In it, a man in a striped shirt can be seen leaning forward in the back seat of a vehicle, his hands apparently cuffed behind his back.
Another man - allegedly a police officer - abuses him verbally, calling him a "fat c**t" and a "f**king worthless piece of shit".
"Why don't you just f***ing kill yourself," he says at one point.
